surfbums.org Playa Grande, Costa Rica is about 3 miles up the beach from Tamarindo. It’s a great spot during high tide and often not overly crowded like the river mouth of Tamarindo can often be.

Costa Rica Surf Report:

3-4ft Waist to chest high with fair conditions.

Playa Grande, Costa Rica – The surf this morning was small again with light offshore winds.  Surf was fun with waves coming in around waist high with the occasional chest high waves.  Hopefully the size will pick up here later this week.

Costa Rica Tides:

We had an early morning high tide of 7.96ft @8:18am, moving down to a low tide of 0.90ft @2:22pm, then moving back up to a high tide of 8.59ft @ 8:53pm.
